Eligibility for care
Health Services provides services for enrolled students.For Fall semesters, last date of service is the Friday before winter break. For Spring semesters, last date of service is graduation. ** After the day of Commencement graduated students are no longer eligible for services. ** During summer students are only eligible for care if enrolled in summer classes, working on-campus, doing research, and/or living on-campus. A student living in the Saratoga area is not eligible for services unless one of the previously stated requirements are met.
Medical Visits
To better serve students and provide a safe environment for everyone, we ask you to schedule an appointment in advance rather than walk in to be seen. We can usually offer same- or next-day appointments and we will do our best to make sure you are seen as quickly as possible. Health Services provides both acute and routine care.
Examples of acute/illness/injury visits include:

Flu-like symptoms (fever, aches), upper respiratory symptoms (sore throat, cough) -
Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) -
Musculoskeletal injuries -
Care for chronic illnesses, often in collaboration with home and/or specialty providers -
Routine follow-up for eating disorders, including lab work -
Sexual and reproductive health care -
Referrals to specialists
Examples of routine visits include:
- Physical exams needed for internships, travel abroad or work
- Preventative health counseling
- Starting birth control
- Routine STI testing
- Immunizations
- Blood test and lab work (with order from provider already)
- Tuberculosis screening skin testing (aka PPD)
- Smoking or vaping support and counseling, medication to help quit

FEES
There is NO CHARGE for the following provided by Health Services:
- Visits
- Emergency Contraception (Plan-B, ella)
- Pregnancy tests
- Most over-the-counter medications
- Basic wound care supplies in the setting of a visit
Minimal fees typically apply for the following, many of which can be dispensed in Health Services:
- Prescription medications
- A few over-the-counter medications (ex: Mucinex)
- Immunizations
- Braces (ankle, knee, wrist, etc)
- Rapid testing in office (strep, flu)
All fees will be discussed with the patient prior to being applied
- Fees can be paid using cash, Skid Card or be billed to active student account which wouldbe paid along with tuition bill.
- We do not bill health insurance companies. Students can keep receipts and submit them to their insurance or medical spending account on their own.
- Students (or their health insurers) are responsible for all bills relating to care outside of Health Services, which may include emergency room and urgent care center visits, outside laboratory tests and x-rays, visits to outside providers, and outside prescriptions.
