Sidmore College Emergency Medical Services (SCEMS)
In an emergency Campus Safety will dispatch SCEMS, a New York State Basic Life Support-First
Response Agency, which provides high quality and confidential emergency medical care
to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community. SCEMS is staffed and operated entirely by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students,
who are trained and state certified at the EMT level or higher. SCEMS provides emergency
coverage between 4:30pm and 8:30am on weekdays, and 24-hour coverage from 4:30pm on
Friday until 8:30am on Monday. For non-emergency contact SCEMS at 518-580-5298 or

In case of illness or injury which requires evaluation or treatment during the hours
when Health Services is closed, Urgent Care at Wilton Medial Arts (518-580-2273) is
available seven days a week at 3040 Rt. 50 Saratoga Springs, ½ mile North of Exit
15, across from Home Depot. No appointment is necessary and treatment is generally
quicker and less costly than traditional emergency room care. Laboratory and medical
imaging (X-ray) services are available on-site.
for emergent and urgent problems that cannot wait until Health Services reopens. Many insurance policies will not pay for emergency department visits for non-emergent problems.
If you go to Saratoga Hospital or Urgent Care at Wilton Medical Arts identify yourself as a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø student, your medical evaluation may be shared with Health Services.
