Temporary Medical Parking Permit

Due to injuries or medical conditions, some students may require accommodations for parking or vehicle use on campus. Health Services can provide temporary medical parking permits to students who meet the necessary requirements.

Key Information About Temporary Medical Parking Permits:

  • Eligibility: Permits are available for students only—employees and visitors are not eligible.
  • Permit Duration: Typically approved for a 2-week time period.
  • On-Campus Parking: Permits allow students to park in on-campus student overnight and commuter lots that may be closer to buildings (excluding Barrett Loop).
  • Supplemental to On-Campus Parking Permits: Temporary permits serve as a supplement to existing on-campus parking permits, and all vehicles must comply with Campus Safety guidelines.
  • Handicapped Spaces: These permits do not allow parking in handicapped spaces. Drivers will be ticketed if parked in these areas. For permanent disability/handicapped parking accommodations, please contact NYS DMV.

To request a temporary medical parking permit, please contact Health Services at 518-580-5550 or email health@skidmore.edu to receive an electronic form and further instructions.

Note: Additional medical information may be requested as part of the application process, but submission of this information does not guarantee approval.
