Tuesday, Oct. 12, 6:30 p.m. – ESS Keynote Speaker Meredith Ellis: “Carbon sequestration, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and cattle grazing: how it all goes hand in handâ€
Meredith Ellis is a second-generation rancher in Rosston TX, and a cooperator with the Noble Research Institute’s Land Stewardship Program. She will discuss how her ranch provides nutritious food to a growing population while leaving habitat and natural ecosystems intact.

Tuesday, Oct. 26, 5 p.m. – ESS Advising Meeting
In advance of registration for spring courses, the ESS Program will hold a meeting to introduce students to the ESS curriculum and answer questions about major and minor requirements and upcoming courses. ESS faculty will give an overview of the program, and then students will break into small groups to discuss our 2 majors: Environmental Studies and Environmental Science.
