- This past weekend, the MDOCS team headed to Glens Falls for the Adirondack Film Festival where four MDOCS-affiliated films premiered.
- 2016 Storytellers' Visiting Fellow and 2019 Institute Faculty - Daesha Devon Harris - returns to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to mentor Amanda Peckler '20 and give her the invaluable experience of learning the ins and outs of being an independent artist, photographer and creator.
- Every summer, students take the skills and craft they learn in MDOCS and practice them far beyond campus -- ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students are working on documentary crews from New Orleans to New York, with many projects bound for major festivals or set to screen on PBS.
- This past month, MDOCS headed to Montreal to the annual Oral History Association conference. Documentary students from WSPN learned the importance of recorded oral histories as well as had the opportunity to tour CKUT on the McGill campus.
- MDOCS welcomes its fourth group of Institute Fellows this coming Tuesday - 8 students, 2 ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Faculty, and 5 documentary practitioners will get to work on their documentary projects while partaking in collaborative, community-building, and inspiring activities and events throughout the month of June.

- This end of year Director's Note welcomes MDOCS Summer, looks back on the semester we just concluded, and reflects on the graduations and transitions ahead for a four-year old program which, like the students who started with us in 2014-2015, is looking forward to a 'post-grad' experience.

- Storytellers' Institute 2015 Visiting Fellow Jonna McKone worked with MDOCS' Adam Tinkle to organize a spring break visit to the Capital Districtor Rutgers University students, including a workshop at the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY, and stops in Saratoga and at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
- The MDOCS line-up of courses bring documentary skills, theory, and practice to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students of all disciplines. For those that just want to learn a new skill to those looking to take a deep dive into documentary production, there's something for everyone!

- ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø alumni Jasmyn Story, '15 and Noah Kernis, '15 bring a passion for social justice to a short course in which students gain hands-on experience as they contribute to a non-profit mobile app to connect marginalized communities to local resources.
- Harry Sultan ('17, Psychology) follows his love for podcasts and passion for a good mystery from the 2017 Storytellers' Institute to an audio documentary project about the gritty, swept-under-the-rug, history of the prohibition era in Saratoga Springs, NY.
- MDOCS student reporter Emily Rizzo sits down with Patrick Morelli - local artist and creator of the "Behold" monument in the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site.
