World-class stage. Intimate experiences.
Since its inception in 2010, the Arthur Zankel Music Center has been dedicated to cultivating artistic excellence and enriching cultural experiences for students, artists, audiences, and community partners. Home to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's acclaimed Music department, the Center offers a robust schedule of programming throughout the academic year, and hosts prestigious summer programs such as the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Jazz Institute, now celebrating its 37th year. Our state-of-the-art facilities include the Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall, which accommodates 600 attendees, and the intimate Elisabeth Luce Moore Hall, with 86 seats.
Named in honor of Arthur Zankel, a devoted ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø trustee and visionary philanthropist, the Center is a testament to his legacy of support and commitment to the arts. Our mission is to provide a vibrant and inclusive space for musical exploration and performance, fostering a diverse range of artistic expressions that honor the rich traditions of early music while reflecting the dynamic landscape of contemporary music.
Flore Laurentienne
Flore Laurentienne is an open window to the technicolor soundscapes of Mathieu David
Gagnon – the Canadian composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who shapes vast
orchestral sound to interpret the rugged wilderness and waters of his native Québec.
The namesake of an inventory documenting St. Lawrence Valley flora, Flore Laurentienne
illumes the science and spirit of his surrounds through expansive string orchestrations
melded with the textures and experimentation of early analogue synths.
Tickets are $5.00 for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Community and $25.00 for General Public.
Experience a wide range of musical performances, from Sun Dogs’ sci-fi jazz to the intricate melodies of the Ottoman world, Indian classical ragas and dance, and a unique blend of strings and early analog synthesizers. We’re also introducing two new series – SURROUND, where intimate solo concerts bring the audience onstage with the artist, and SUSTAIN, a collection of documentary films that offer profound insights into the lives and legacies of influential musicians.
Admission to our events is free unless otherwise noted. Join us!
