Students, faculty and staff need a dedicated space to discuss, collaborate and think creatively about equity and inclusion.

The Center marks an evolution in cultural and community spaces at  ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø by meeting the increasing demand for community access, fostering more dynamic connections across all studies and providing the opportunity to advance social change.

The Center is a vibrant, accessible location for programming, including classes, conferences, workshops, performances, research talks, informal discussions and collaborations between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the local Saratoga Springs community.  This centralized social hub serves as a community base for people from diverse cultures, religions, identities, backgrounds and perspectives.

A classroom, open performance, meeting and speaking space (including a large, state-of-the-art media wall), study and small group work areas, and an office for the inaugural director is part of the space. The Offices of Campus Life and Engagement relocated to areas adjacent to this new hub, facilitating collaborative work and integrative learning.

The combined 5,300-square-foot Center occupies a prominent location in Case Center. Flexible in its design, this dynamic space, which has not yet been named, began construction in January 2020 and was scheduled in two phases.

Phase 1 reimagines the InterCultural Lounge (ICL).

Phase 2 of the project reimagines the Class of 1972 InterCultural Center (ICC) and brings together the offices of Campus Life and Engagement, which were previously located on two separate floors adjacent to The Center.
