Claire Messud is a best-selling American novelist whose works include The Emperor’s Children, The Woman Upstairs, When The World Was Steady, The Last Life, and The Hunters. Her new novel, The Burning Girl, inspired a lengthy New York Times profile. She teaches at Harvard University and at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s New York State Summer Writers’ Institute.
Messud will receive an honorary doctorate from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø President Glotzbach, speak about her work, read a passage from her recent novel, and answer audience questions.
A book signing will follow the lecture.
