Course Registration
For new students, course registration for the Fall 2024 term opens at 8:30am (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 based on the first letter of your last name: A-K may begin to register on Tuesday, and L-Z may begin on Wednesday.
First-year students register themselves for courses online in one of two ways outlined below. Students may continue to make changes to their course schedule through the end of the drop/add period in September.
Note: Your schedule may be subject to change in rare, but necessary, situations. You will be contacted if a change needs to be made.
Registering Using the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Student System
- If you have not already done so, create a user name and password, which will be used to access email and the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Student System.
- Login to the
- Your SSP 100 Scribner Seminar will already be in place.
- Use the to search for Fall 2024 course offerings.
- Refer to the Student Self Service Guide for step-by-step instructions.
- Register for additional courses. Use CRN numbers for faster enrollment.
- Course(s) will go directly to your schedule unless you receive a warning or error message.
Note: When using the Master Schedule, enter "FY" in the text block for "Open in First Term (enter FY)." This will ensure that the course results are deemed appropriate for first-year students.
Registering Using the Schedule PLanner
Students may choose to use the to do the following:
- Search for Fall 2024 courses by subject area or degree requirement.
- Build a potential schedule or generate multiple potential schedules to compare days/times, credit loads, and breaks, etc.
- Choose one of your potential schedules to add to your Shopping Cart.
- Submit the final schedule from your Shopping Cart once your registration day/time opens.
- Watch the for a demonstration. The videos are not ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø specific, but they are a useful way to understand how the Schedule Planner works.
Note: The Schedule Planner does not limit available course offerings only to courses that are deemed appropriate for first-year students. The Class of 2028 should not register themselves for advanced 300-level courses.
Wait LIsts
- Do not add yourself to a wait lists until you have already secured a full-time course load with a minimum of 12 credits.
- Being on a waitlist does not constitute enrollment. You are simply waiting for a seat to become available.
- If a seat becomes available, you will be notified via ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø email. Students have 48 hours to login to the system and enroll themselves, so be sure to keep checking your email throughout the summer!
