About the Speaker
Dr. Rao is a graduate of National Taiwan Normal University. She holds a master's degree and a Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Michigan and has produced award-winning research on gender and music, sketch studies, music modernism, cultural fusion in music, racial representations, and the music history of early Chinese Americans.
