7th Annual Capital District Feminist Studies Consortium Conference - Conference Overview
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, 815 n. broadway, Saratoga Springs, New York
FEBRUARY 1, 2019
This event is open to all in the greater Capital District interested in feminist and
gender studies.
The conference features paper presentations and a poster session.
Capitalizing on a robust and accomplished concentration of scholars, teachers, and students in and around the Capital District who are interested in feminist and gender studies (broadly conceived), this consortium seeks to create opportunities for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. The seventh annual consortium conference will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in Saratoga Springs, New York. It is the aspiration of the organizers of the consortium that a wide variety of disciplines contemplated by feminist and gender studies scholars will be represented. We seek to spark a rich conversation about gender and gender injustice, including the latter’s articulation with other oppressive structures such as white supremacy, settler colonialism, ableism, and compulsory heterosexuality.
Fantastic opportunities to meet, network, discuss, and share with those in the region, we hope you’ll join us!
There is no registration fee. But we do ask that you let us know if you'll join us be registering here.
