Life After ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
An English degree is one of the most versatile degrees you can pursue. Alumni of the English department have put the skills they learned at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to work in a wide variety of industries--from law and medicine, to educaiton, publishing, finance, and entertainment. In any field in which communication matters you will find our alumni. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø English majors have gone on to work at companies like PayPal, Simon & Schuster, the Associated Press, Cole Haan, and HBO, and have earned graduate degrees in education, law, public policy, and much more.
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø English Department maintains of alumni, which upperclassmen and alumni are welcome to join. Our department regularly offers a course called "The English Major and Beyond" that encourages our students to start thinking about the applciations of their degree, and the Golden Fellow program brings alumni back to campus each year to meet with current students, workshop resumés, and help them map out strategies for entering their desired fields.
