Frequently Asked Questions
This page is an effort to address many of the most common questions received by members of the Working Group.
How was the Working Group established?
In collaboration with the DOF, FEC ran a willingness to serve that faculty could use to nominate colleagues or themselves. Anyone who was nominated was asked to respond to a few questions about their previous service on campus and their interest in the proposed work. The DOF/VPAA, chairs of FEC, CEPP, CAFR, ATC and PC and project director, met and selected a group of seven faculty who represented different academic divisions, contract status (NTT/Tenure-track/Tenured) and previous experience with governance committees. The goal was to get the broadest mix of expertise and experience.
What does it mean that this work is supported by HHMI?
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, as part of a larger group (known as the Learning Community Cluster), is committed to addressing the charge of the Working Group but how we do that and the outcome is completely up to us as an institution. Being part of the larger LCC means that we have access to resources (financial and intellectual) to support our work.
