PARENT INFORMATION, forms and field trips
2024 Parent Information and Required Forms
This packet will be mailed to all camper families in April. Parents should make every effort to use the printed forms from our office as they are color coded.
Health and Safety at Camp: Camp Northwoods will follow health and safety regulations put forth by the New York State Department of Health, the American Camp Association, Saratoga County Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. Our activities will be adapted to adhere to the most current information and recommendations.
What to bring to Camp: Consult the Parent Information Packet at the link above for suggestions on what to send with your child each day along with a healthy snack. We appreciate the interest and offers from parents to volunteer their valuable time and energy at camp. For the safety of everyone involved, and to maintain the Camp Safety Policy, staff and chaperones must consist of the trained staff employed by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
What you may leave at Camp: Campers will have an area where they can store things like rain gear, an extra change of clothes, sunscreen, bug repellant, and other possessions while attending camp. We suggest swimsuits and towels be brought home daily to dry. All items should be clearly labeled, and we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Field Trips away from Camp: The 2024 Field Trip Schedule can be found here. All children will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in field trips. This philosophy applies to all camp activities. Every opportunity will be offered to provide a learning experience for each child. If given the chance, children are likely to accept challenges and find great personal satisfaction in their accomplishments. Certified lifeguards attend field trips where water activities are involved. The staff will be happy to answer questions about specific destinations once camp has begun.
Absent from Camp: In the event your child will be absent from camp or late to arrive, please notify Camp Northwoods by 8:45 am. If you are unable to reach Camp, please contact the Office of Special Programs.
Things that are left at Camp: There is a Lost and Found box that will be clearly marked. At the end of each session, please be sure to check through the items.
