Upcoming Academic Sessions

Wed 2/19, 7-9pm, Econ Lounge

Microsoft Excel Workshop

We are going to create a session where students learn how to do basic Excel functions like making pivot tables, graphs and charts from relevant sources (like FRED etc). Students who are taking Intro classes and Statistics related Econ courses will find this helpful as we will develop basic Excel skills that they will most likely have if they continue Economics

Thur 2/27, 7-9pm, Econ Lounge

Early Midterm Revisions

This session will help students for any upcoming Midterms in March. We will review any overlapping topics in the intro classes and target specific common mistakes/topics people struggle with.

Sardor Aripov '27 - PAC Captain

Major: Economics and History  Sardor

About me: I am from Uzbekistan. I love playing soccer and skiing. I also enjoy chess, listening to music, and watching movies and TV shows.

Why PAC?: I want to become a PAC because I truly enjoy helping others. I’ve always found it rewarding to help other students understand difficult concepts and develop confidence in their abilities.

Favorite class and why?: My favorite class has been Statistical Methods with Professor Tiwari. This course allowed me to develop valuable skills in working with statistical data, which I’ve been able to apply across other subjects and projects. The practical focus of the class made it both challenging and rewarding.

Academic Advice: Be curious and proactive in your learning. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help, whether it’s through PAC, office hours, or study groups. Take classes that challenge you—you’ll be surprised at how much you grow academically and personally when you step out of your comfort zone.

Major: Economics  Minor: Mathematics Kam

About me: I am from New Jersey. I enjoy chess and playing pickup soccer and basketball.

Why PAC?: I found it useful to attend PAC sessions to discuss confusing problems or concepts to better understand them. I hope to offer the same opportunity to other students.

Favorite Class: Statistical Methods with Professor Tiwari. It was a great introduction to the empirical side of economics.

Academic Advice: Practice, practice, practice! Working through a variety of different practice problems can help solidify your understanding of the material.

Vu Nguyen '27 Vu

Major: Economics

About me: I am from Vietnam. I love playing sports and watching movies.

Why PAC?: PAC has helped me so much over the course of my college experience, and I am inspired to help other students the same way PAC has helped me in the past.

Favorite Class: I will have to say Statistical Methods with Professor Tiwari. Even though that class has a decent amount of workload, it ultimately felt very rewarding towards the end.

Academic Advice: Do not hesitate to ask for help! We all learn from one another and it is curiosity and determination that helps us overcome every obstacle in life.
