Faculty Recommendation Form

Dear Faculty Member,

Thank you for supporting a student's application to become a Peer Academic Coach (PAC). Your recommendation is an important part of our selection process, and it helps us identify students who are well-suited for this leadership role.  Some suggested guidelines:

Character
A strong candidate for the PAC program demonstrates integrity, responsibility, and respect in all interactions. PACs are reliable, trustworthy, and lead by example, showing initiative in supporting their peers and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment.

Academic excellence
Students applying to be PACs must be majors or minors in the academic discipline for which they are applying and have earned an A- or better in the specific courses the PAC team offers support in.

Class year
We select sophomores and juniors, as well as seniors during their fall semester.  As students who have recently completed many of the courses covered by PAC, they offer relevant academic guidance and firsthand insights. Additionally, the program includes credited training courses, and selecting students earlier in their academic journey allows them sufficient time to complete the training and effectively apply their skills.
