“Care to Connect, Care to Giveâ€
Caring, connecting, and giving are at the heart of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares.
Each year, the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community pauses during the season of giving thanks to support agencies in our community by giving back through ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares. In doing so, we strengthen our campus community while building our bonds of friendship with the local community. The tradition continues this year and celebrates 18 years of your generosity.
Contributions to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares will benefit Shelters of Saratoga, Franklin Community Center, Mary's Haven, LifeWorks Community Action, Wellspring, Saratoga Springs City School District PATHS, the Latino Advocacy Program, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties, and Saratoga Center for the Family.
Please join President Marc Conner, his wife Barbara, and fellow faculty, staff, retirees, and students in participating in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares.
Find your suggested donation on the Donation Items page, as well how you can directly contribute to each organization should you wish to do so.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares furthers our connection to the greater Saratoga community and brings us together in the season of giving thanks. The need among our neighbors remains significant, and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares provides a wonderful opportunity to offer our support and generosity.President Marc C. Conner
The COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us that being good neighbors is important and there is real need right here in our community. A sudden job loss, illness, or other issue can impact any of us. Children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable.
Our collective caring makes a difference. Even small gifts mean a meal for someone in need, and every donation adds up. Across campus, teams based on location collect items particularly critical to community organizations and schools.
We inspire each other to give back. Since 2006, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cares has raised over $147,700 for community causes. We’ve also distributed over 70,100 food items, school supplies, and toiletries over the past 17 years.
Join us in celebrating 18 years of giving back! Walk or drive over to the Carriage House to drop off your donations. Signage will be set up to direct you.
Desserts and refreshments will be served each day during open drop-off hours. Please stop in for a treat and to mingle with friends, colleagues, and volunteers.
If you have questions about drop off, please contact Megan Buchanan or Michelle Hubbs.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s seventh President Philip A. Glotzbach and his wife Marie initiated the program in 2006. President Marc C. Conner and his wife Barbara continue the tradition, building upon our community’s generosity and the program’s success in supporting nonprofit agencies and schools throughout Saratoga County.
