ELIGIBILITY
To enter, students must have been enrolled in one or more studio art courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
College during 2010 and must be currently enrolled (fall, 2010) in a degree-granting
program through ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Work submitted must be original and have been completed
while enrolled as a full-time student at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø during spring, summer or fall of
2010.
NUMBER OF ENTRIES
Up to three original works
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Each student may submit up to three original works in the medium of his/her choice.
Work of a fragile nature is submitted at the artist's risk. Entries should be submitted
ready for display. Two-dimensional work should be properly stretched, framed, matted
or mounted with backing. All submissions that do not meet these requirements will
be considered at the discretion of the juror. Matted work must be securely mounted
with mats attached to work. Loose glass or Plexi may accompany work for L-pin installation.
Wet paintings or wet sculpture will NOT be accepted. Diptychs and triptychs will be judged intact: individual parts will not be accepted without the inclusion of the other(s). Charcoal and pastel drawings must be spray-fixed to prevent transfer; backs of these works must be completely clean and they should be submitted with a clean slip-sheet covering the work. 

ENTRY FORMS
Each student entering work must fill out an entry and submit it to the gallery assistant
when work is dropped off. Forms are available in the gallery or by download online

LABELS
Labels are to be securely attached to the upper left hand corner of the back of each
work. Labels should be clearly visible on three-dimensional work. Labels can be picked
up at Schick Art Gallery.
AWARDS
Appx. $1000 in awards and gift certificates will be chosen by the juror for outstanding
work and will be announced at the opening reception. These prizes are funded through
donations made by friends of the gallery, campus organizations, and community businesses.
The Schick Art Gallery will take every reasonable precaution and care against loss, destruction or vandalism, but cannot insure works submitted for judging. Works that are selected for exhibition will be insured for the duration of the exhibit. Insurance value must be indicated on the label provided; value of each work cannot exceed $300. All selected works, including those sold, must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show. Schick Art Gallery does not sell work or take a commission on work sold. All persons inquiring about work for sale will be directed to contact the artist.
