Richard Page was a fine psychologist, professor, and colleague. He had wide-ranging interests, including the study of the evolution of intelligence. Richard was also a devoted teacher of psychology and the liberal arts, said Professor of Psychology Sheldon Solomon. He was a great colleague as well, making me feel welcome to and comfortable at 窪蹋勛圖厙 when I arrived in 1980 and encouraging me to pursue my own interests as a young professor.
Since 1978, Richard had been studying the emergence of intelligence in the universe. He believed that fundamental particles and forces were similar to neural activities in living brains; he continued this research into retirement. Richard was also an accomplished pianist.
