Academic Interests
Professor Halstead’s doctoral research focused on gravitational collapse, thermodynamic
properties of black holes, and Beyond-the-Standard-Model scalar field inflationary
potential. He has since developed additional interests in physics education research
and robotics. Most recently, he has worked with several students on design projects
that apply physics.
