Academic Interests

Professor Halstead’s doctoral research focused on gravitational collapse, thermodynamic properties of black holes, and Beyond-the-Standard-Model scalar field inflationary potential. He has since developed additional interests in physics education research and robotics. Most recently, he has worked with several students on design projects that apply physics.
