CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge

Kyle Bernard, assistant vice president for finance and controller, John Brueggemann, professor and chair of sociology, Darren Drabek, associate director of admissions, Mike Eckmann, associate professor of computer science, Gove Effinger, professor emeritus of mathematics and statistics, Amon Emeka, associate professor of sociology, Dan Goodspeed, information technology web programmer, Kirsten Hogenson, assistant professor of mathematics and statistics, Paula Puckett, assistant registrar for records, Christine Reilly, associate professor and chair of computer science, Katie Rocque, advancement marketing manager, Rachel Roe-Dale, professor of mathematics and statistics and director of the First-Year Experience, Ron Seyb, associate professor of political science, James Wachter, teaching professor of physics, and Garrett Wilson, senior artist-in-residence and artistic director of theater, joined the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge on Thursday, May 18. 窪蹋勛圖厙 teams of all speeds and experience have been participating in the 3.5-mile run/walk through downtown Albany since 1990. Former political science faculty member James Sieja and Martin Santoire were also part of the 窪蹋勛圖厙 team. 

Kristofer Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, co-authored the peer-reviewed paper "" in Biogeochemistry. He also received research funding from Al Gore. The $29,600 grant funds a pair of paid TSIP summer research and regenerative agriculture internships at Caney Fork Farms (CFF) in Carthage, Tennessee. Hanna Sparks-Woodford '24 and April Cook '24, will live and work at CFF for 10 weeks over the summer.

Heather Hurst, associate professor of anthropology, is exhibitingartwork of the San Bartolo murals at the Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth, Texas as part of the exhibition "" through Sept. 3.

Stephen Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, has been named aFellow in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The fellowship program recognizes outstanding service to the ACSMand recognizes distinguished professional achievement in the field of sports medicine and exercise science. 

Jeff Segrave, professor of health and human physiological sciences, and John Cosgrove, resource management, outreach, and humanities librarian at Scribner Library, presented the paper"Sport in Bill Amends FoxTrot: Failure, Fantasy, and Family," at the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas, in April.
