Kristofer Covey, visiting assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, has received two grants that will support student research. A $22,241 grant from former Vice President Al Gore will allow students to conduct soil carbon inventories and contribute to the development of a national-scale soil carbon inventory effort. A second, $41,557 grant from Kendall Jackson Family Wines in Sonoma County, California, will support student research there and at the . 

James HelickeJames Helickemanaging editor in the Office of Communications and Marketing, spoke on  about his research on the history of U.S.-Turkish relations following President Joseph Bidens recognition of the mass killings of Armenians during World War I as genocide. 

Stephen IvesStephen Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, published a commentary in the Journal of Applied Physiology on       

James KennellyJim Kennelly, professor of management and business, has received a Fulbright Scholar Award to teach and conduct research at the International Management Center, University of Applied Sciences, Krems an der Donau, Austria. This is his second Fulbright Award: His first was interrupted by the pandemic last year.    

William LewisWilliam S. Lewis, professor of philosophy, recently published two recent articles, one in a  and another on the on the philosophy of science, positivism and Stalinism.    

Cathy SilberCathy Silber, teaching professor of Chinese, spoke about her research  and the Italian-language .  

    

Catherine TalleyCatherine Talley, visiting assistant professor of French, published the article in the journal French Forum.
