Beau Breslin

Beau Breslin, professor of political science, published a new book. was published by Stanford University Press. 

Joseph CermatoriJoseph Cermatori, assistant professor of English, has been awarded an ACLA Helen Tartar First Book Award for his manuscript,  (forthcoming from Johns Hopkins University Press in November). This national prize is conferred on an annual, competitive basis upon first-time book authors in comparative literature who have secured university press contracts.   

Heather HurstHeather Hurst, associate professor of anthropology, was recently named a 2021 National Geographic Explorer. This award supports new archaeological research at the Maya sites of San Bartolo and Xultun, Guatemala. To learn more about her project, visit  and see daily posts during fieldwork on Instagram/Twitter @sbxproject. 

Kelly MelekisKelly Melekis, associate professor of social work, published "" in a special issue of the Journal of Social Work in End-of-Life and Palliative Care. The article was co-authored by Carol S. Weisse, director of health professions and professor of psychology at Union College. 

Dan NathanDaniel Nathan, professor of American studies, was awarded the 2021-2022 Edwin M. Moseley Faculty Lectureship by the Faculty Development Committee.
