Pola Dobry Baytelman, distinguished artist-in-residence in the Department of Music, was featured in the podcast 鈥溾�� about the Spanish composer Isaac Alb茅niz. The podcast was produced by Ray Picot, a London-based music critic and writer, as part of the 鈥淛ourneys Through the Labyrinth鈥� series. Picot began his podcast with one of Baytelman鈥檚 pieces from her Alb茅niz disc of 鈥淚beria, 脡vocation,鈥� and later credited her work as an Alb茅niz scholar. The podcast was sponsored by the Iberian and Latin-American Music Society in London and the Cervantes Society in the United Kingdom.

Veena Chandra, private music instructor, and Davesh Chandra recently for the Asian American Herald with Himani Gupta Carlson of Empire State College. A recording of the conversation is available online. Veena Chandra has been streaming at 9 p.m. each Thursday since April. She and Davesh Chandra also performed for the 鈥淔estival of the Holy Name Global Pandemic Kirtan鈥� on Nov. 27. 

Eunice S. Ferreira, associate professor of theater, was elected as vice president/conference planner for the Black Theatre Association of ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education). She spoke at the opening plenary of ATHE's annual conference and chaired an ad hoc committee to center the conference on anti-racist practices. She was recently interviewed and featured in "" in the Tufts Graduate Newsletter (Pages 15-18).   

A composition by Evan Mack, senior teaching professor of music, was performed as part of a service marking the  (at the 36:30 mark) crash of the plane carrying most of the Marshal University football team. Eight years ago, Mack was asked to write the piece for the Marshall University Chorus to be sung at their fountain ceremony.  

Bernard Possidente, professor of biology, presented a poster, 鈥淓ffects of Alzheimer鈥檚 Disease on Bone Quality in the 5xFAD Transgenic Mouse Model,鈥� at the 2020 meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research with colleagues from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The research was funded, in part, by a grant from the Florence Petrlik Family Foundation to 黑料吃瓜网.
