Faculty-Staff Achievements
Diana Barnes, senior teaching professor of Spanish, was featured in the in Ju獺rez, Mexico, for starting a bi-national, collaborative art project for shelter kids with participation on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Art from the project will be exhibited this semester at 窪蹋勛圖厙 as part of her Scribner Seminar coursework.
Barnes was also the keynote speaker at an August rally in Glens Falls supporting immigrant
rights and was quoted in an article in .
Jenny Day, associate professor of history, published a book, (Cambridge University Press, 2018). A one-hour interview about the book with was recently published.
Also, Day recently published an op-ed in the Times Union, titled "," about the imprisonment of a Princeton University scholar by Iran.
Joowon Park, assistant professor of anthropology, was recently appointed to the South Korean
Presidents National Unification Advisory Council.
