Activities

Four ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø faculty attended, presented papers, and moderated conference sessions at the March 1–4 at San Francisco State University. Barbara Black, professor of English, moderated a conference session titled "Serial Forms and Children"; Catherine Golden, professor of English, presented a paper titled Suicide and the Serial: Robert Seymour, Charles Dickens, and the Reinvention of the Illustrated Serial; Ruth McAdams, visiting assistant professor of English, moderated a conference session titled "Recovered/Rewriting History" and presented a paper titled 'The Individual Dies': Reform and the Roman-à-Clef; and Jeff Segrave, professor of health and human physiological sciences, presented a paper titled 'Citius, Altius, Fortius': Pierre de Coubertin and the Emergence of the Serialized Modern Olympic Games in the Late Nineteenth Century.

Publications and Exhibitions

Sandra Raimundo, post-doctoral research scientist in biology, and David Domozych, professor of biology, co-authored a paper titled, "," in the journal Plant Methods, 14 (18), 2018. The paper describes the methodology for protoplast production for molecular and cellular studies. Eleanore Ritter '18, Berke Tinaz '16 and researchers from Cornell University were also co-authors.
