Sónia Silva
Sónia Silva, associate professor of anthropology, published an essay titled "" in the interdisciplinary journal Material Religion. At stake in this article are the African art exhibitions held in Europe and North
America in the 1920s–1980s, the colonial concept of the religious fetish which those
exhibitions displaced, and the illustrative case study of the National Ethnology Museum
in Portugal.
