The artwork of Deb Hall, associate professor of art, is included in a national juried exhibition, titled Con|TEXT, at the in Cohasset, Mass., from April 8 to May 22. The new work includes text and interrogates how our relationship with nature is impacted through the use of digital technologies.

Doretta Miller

Doretta Miller, professor of art, has paintings featured in a two-person show with sculptor Tom Schottman at the Oakroom Artists’ gallery, 1221 Wendell Ave. in Schenectady. Ariel Osterweis, visiting scholar/artist in dance, has had her book, tentatively titled Body Impossible: Desmond Richardson and the Politics of Virtuosity, accepted by Oxford University Press. The book examines issues of race, class, gender, and sexuality in contemporary dance. She has also had an essay, "Disavowing Virtuosity, Performing Aspiration," selected for the upcoming collection The Futures of Dance Studies.

Jennifer Delton, professor of history, will present the 2016 at Indiana University Bloomington on April 14. The lecture is titled "When We Were Liberal: Explaining the Twentieth Century."
