On October 20, MDOCS, the Arts Administration Program and Media and Film Studies Program hosted the second annual student and community networking night. The evening of mingling at Saratoga Arts has developed and continues to grow into an eclectic and welcoming forum for community members working in documentary, communications, the arts and other related fields to meet each other and talk with students about what they do and the available internship opportunities at their companies/organizations.

Students prepare with a short pre-event networking workshop that suggests some conversation starters and ways of entry when speaking with people that could turn into valuable long-lasting connections. Professionals from cultural and media organizations such as the Saratoga Preservation Foundation, Caffe Lena, The Saratoga Film Academy, Saratoga International Film Festival, Candy Factory Films and many more were joined by students interested in pursuing internships in the arts administration, documentary and film and media fields. Good food, good conversation and even a few internships were secured.
