Bias Response Case Study with John McKnight
Friday, October 9, 2020
3 - 4:30 p.m.
Zoom information will be sent via email prior to the session.
Participants will be asked to read an article related to an interaction that occurred at another higher ed institution and to fill out a short survey addressing the resolution outlined in the article and participants’ expectations. Using Dean McKnight as an external facilitator, the session will explore the interaction described in the article and consider how it might be translated to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. We will roleplay our bias response protocols, meaning we will act as though the actions occurred here at the College and then walk through typical steps. Goals of the session include understanding participants’ expectations related to reports of bias, education related to our bias protocols, and consideration of our bias response practices.
