A celebration of the liberal arts at 窪蹋勛圖厙, the symposium demonstrated how deeply creativity and humanistic inquiry are woven into the Colleges academic fabric.

Paul Bierman, researcher and author of "When the Ice is Gone," will examine the importance of Greenland as record global temperatures rapidly transform the region during this year's Lester W. Strock Lecture in Geosciences, Monday, April 7.

2025 Citizens and Scholars Faculty Institute

窪蹋勛圖厙 faculty are invited to apply for the 2025 Citizens and Scholars Faculty Institute, a professional development opportunity focused on facilitating complex classroom discussions, fostering civil discourse, and enhancing course design. Part of the College Presidents for Civic Preparedness initiative, the program includes an in-person convening this summer, an 18-month virtual learning community, and a stipend. To apply, submit a brief expression of interest to Eric Morser by Monday, April 14. Faculty should check their email for additional details. 

Protocol for federal law enforcement requests and campus visits

窪蹋勛圖厙 takes everyone's safety seriously, including the safety of international community members as it relates to any potential interactions with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or other federal agencies. Campus Safety and campus partners have in place a campus-wide response plan to guide employees and students in the event of contact from federal agents. Information about the Colleges protocol for potential visits to campus or inquiries by federal agents may be found online

Presidents office hours

President Conner will hold office hours from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 9. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to request a 10-minute, in-person appointment. To register, please email presoff@skidmore.edu. Requests will be handled in the order that they are received. 

Free massages

T堯梗 Live More, 窪蹋勛圖厙 worksite wellness program, in partnership with MVP Health Care, is offering free chair massages to 窪蹋勛圖厙 employees on Friday, April 4, from noon to 3 p.m. Anyone interested in signing up for a 10-minute session .

Saratoga Sustainability Fair

Celebrate sustainable living at the from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, in Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences. Explore the expo hall, collaborate on a community art project, learn something new at the student poster session, check out an electric school bus, or bring the family and dive into kids' activities. Call for staff: Attend NCORE 2025 

T堯梗 College is selecting staff to attend the (NCORE) in New York City, May 26 through 31. Participants will gain valuable insights and strategies to foster a more inclusive campus community. YES! Days for accepted students

T堯梗 College will be hosting YES! Days for admitted students on Saturday, April 12; Friday, April 18; and Monday, April 21. There will be an increase in traffic across campus on these dates. Help reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in 窪蹋勛圖厙 Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all students and employees. Submit announcements and eventslectures, panels, and other academic events; and faculty-staff achievements by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday.

Athletics News

The baseball team will get the month of April started for 窪蹋勛圖厙 teams when it hosts Castleton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thoroughbreds will then host Rensselaer at 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the first game of the three-game Liberty League series. On Saturday, the rowing teams return to Fish Creek for another home regatta. Softball opens league play with a home doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. against Rensselaer, and womens lacrosse has its final home game of the regular season also at a 1 p.m. against Union. Riding continues postseason competition as it heads to West Virginia for the Zone 2 Finals on Saturday with a spot at Nationals on the line.
