I am so grateful for the colleagues I have the pleasure of working with colleagues
here in SAS, in Student Affairs, and across the college. I have served in several
roles here at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. I began as the Coordinator of Disability Services and after
a couple years at another institution returned as the Interim Director of the Opportunity
Program (OP). Following that experience, I moved back to SAS as the Director, and
last year was honored to have been promoted to Associate Dean. My work in SAS is both
challenging and rewarding and I am proud to be surrounded by dedicated and sincere
staff.
Among the many positive experiences I have had here at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø has been working on
the Intergroup Relations (IGR) program team and serving as a Coach for race dialogue
courses. Each time I learn from and am impressed by the Co-Facilitators and the students
taking the courses and I have carried this work over to Student Affairs. Last fall
I began co-facilitating a white racial identity dialogue group for Student Affairs
staff. The group continues to explore issues of personal and professional identity
and privilege and we look forward to expanding our work deepening institutional efforts
of equity and inclusion in fall 2019.
