Idalia Sepúlveda
Idalia I. Osorio Rivera de Sepúlveda is academic communications coordinator in the
Office of Communications and Marketing. Her position entails the management of academic
department and program web content. Idalia works to ensure that faculty and staff
CVs, biographies, faculty/staff images, course listings, academic lecture and event
information, academic photo galleries, and faculty/staff/student diversity news are
up to date. She works with our staff photographer on faculty and staff photo days
and is a member of the web news content team.
Idalia is passionate about diversity and inclusion community efforts. As a founding
member of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's Staff Advisory Group, which came about through her involvement
in intergroup relations discussions, the SAG developed a collegewide staff questionnaire
that brought about opportunities for community dialogue and service. She served on
the search committee for the vice president of communications and marketing and panelist
on the Open Hearts and Minds: Being Latinx at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Beyond conversation. Idalia
is a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ambassador and a member of the Black Faculty and Staff Group. As a member
of that group, Idalia has had several roles, including coordinating Solomon Northup
Day events and managing BFSG meetings.
Idalia holds an A.A.S. degree from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New
York.
