Aaron Kendall
Instructional Technologist, Academic Technologies

As an instructional technologist, my responsibilities include partnering with and supporting faculty use of technology as it relates to teaching, learning, and research. Some of the areas I consult on include digital scholarship, instructional design for blended learning, automated plagiarism detection, web accessibility, assignment planning, use of our learning management system (theSpring), and web publishing. Not only do I support the use of specific tools, such as theSpring, WordPress, Qualtrics, 3D printing, and mobile devices, but also engage with faculty on specialized course or research projects that may require unique technological tools and/or pedagogical approaches.

Examples of recent projects include in-class student workshops on presenting with visual aids, migration of a research website from Omeka to WordPress, and consulting on best practices for addressing plagiarism. Training workshops are offered in our Academic Technologies training room as well as customizable in-class workshops to train students in a relevant tool or methodology.
