Application Deadlines
SKIDMORE PROGRAMS
- October 1 - spring semester deadline
- March 15 - fall or academic year deadline
- October 1 - spring semester deadline
- March 1 - fall semester deadline
- October 1 - spring semester deadline
- March 15 - fall or academic year deadline
- February 15 (one yearly deadline for fall or spring participation)
Applications may be accepted after the listed deadlines on a case-by-case basis. Contact OCSE for details
APPROVED PROGRAMS
You must apply to OCSE 2 weeks prior to your program deadline, but:
- no later than October 15 for spring programs, and
- no later than March 15 for academic year or fall programs
Please note:
- Be sure you know the appropriate deadline for your chosen program. All program deadlines
can be found through the .
- Fine Arts and some music programs often require a portfolio or a recording to be submitted with the application, which will take extra time to prepare. Be sure to plan accordingly in order to meet required deadlines.
It is recommended that students apply early to the following programs:
- Organizations for Tropical Studies (all programs)
- School for Field Studies (all programs)
- SIT Study Abroad (all programs)
Special approved program deadlines:
Please keep in mind that some programs will have much earlier deadlines or may have one deadline for both fall and spring semester. In all cases, we will set the OCSE deadline to be two weeks prior to your program’s deadline. You can see all OCSE deadlines You should check with your program for the most updated deadline.
Students must apply through OCSE at least 2 weeks before the program's deadline.
NON-APPROVED PROGRAMS PETITION
- September 15 - spring programs
- February 15 - fall or academic year programs
Complete petitions include all required information regarding program details, written student statements and faculty letters, necessary faculty signatures, and course descriptions/syllabi. Please contact Off-Campus Study & Exchanges (OCSE) to meet regarding the petition process.
Students should declare a major in the Registrar's Office at least two weeks prior to applying to OCSE.
