Join us Thursday, October 10, at Noon-1:15 p.m., for lunch and discussion around Kara Walker’s The Emancipation Approximation, a 27-panel narrative that addresses themes of race, class, gender, and how our shared histories inform our contemporary moment. Attendees will form into two groups, and Sunny Ra, Museum Educator for K-12 and Community Programs, and Rebecca McNamara, Mellon Collections Curator, will each lead a group through a visual reading exercise while the other continues the conversation over lunch.

Boxed lunches are provided to all guests with RSVP. Please feel free to bring your own lunch as well!

This event is free and open to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community and is part of In It 4, a suite of diversity and inclusion programs designed to raise our cultural fluency and strengthen our community, coordinated by the Inclusion Liaisons (representatives from each of the College’s divisions) with thanks to the Committee on Intercultural and Global Understanding (CIGU).
